Dr. Greggory Tharp received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. From there, he continued his education at the Medical College of Georgia to specialize in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Since then, he’s been exalted within many renowned dental organizations including the Misch International Implant Institute, American Board of Prosthodontics, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and American College of Prosthodontists. Beyond working with those organizations, he gives back to the field of dentistry by conducting speaking engagements and lectures on oral health concerns and aesthetics.
Like his predecessor, Dr. Keith Klaus also earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. During his time there, he researched implant osseointegration—the natural bonding process between implant and bone. He has a background as a research engineer for a national laboratory with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Furthermore, Dr. Klaus has been recognized by various dental organizations and attended continuing education courses in endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and implant restorations.
Prosthodontist
After graduation from Delta State University, Dr. Greggory Tharp received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1986 from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He continued his education at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and achieved a specialty certificate in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He began private practice in 1988 while completing extensive training in implant dentistry at the renowned Misch Implant Institute (Pittsburgh), where he earned Fellowship status.
Dr. Tharp has attained the unique achievement of being double board certified with the American Board of Prosthodontics and with the American Board of Oral Implantology. He is also a Fellow in both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Mississippi Dental Association as well. He enjoyed teaching at UMMC School of Dentistry for 28 years as an Associate Professor in the Restorative Department. He continues his love of teaching by speaking to various dental organizations and by having students (former and current) come by and shadow him.

Born and raised in Vicksburg, MS, Dr. Keith Klaus has established his home and practice among his beloved community of family, friends and neighbors. He graduated with honors from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering. After graduation, he honed his knowledge in engineering as a research engineer at the Engineering Research and Development Center with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. During his time as a research engineer, he recognized an opportunity to combine his artistic and scientific skills and apply them to the field of dentistry. Next, he attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with honors. During his time in the School of Dentistry, Dr. Klaus conducted research on implant osseointegration and the properties of anodized titanium.

Dr. Greggory Tharp and Dr. Keith Klaus are pleased to announce that Dr. Martin Kelly has joined their dental practice.
Dr. Kelly grew up in Madison, MS. He attended the University of Mississippi where he graduated with honors with a B.S. degree in Biology. He then furthered his education at Mississippi College with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Kelly obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
While in dental school, Dr. Kelly received multiple awards, including the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Dental Student Award, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, the Wallace V. Mann Jr. Award, and the UMMC 50th Anniversary Award.
